Since the road was cut on October 2, most shops in Tende have closed, since they cannot get supplies. For fresh produce (butter, meat etc.), one must take the train to Limone (depart from Tende 11:30, return 16:30) or Breil (depart from St Dalmas 9:10, return 17:40). A long day.

Until summer 2020, Tende had 2 groceries, one butcher, one bakery, 2 hardware stores and several restaurants. The largest grocery had closed in september because the owner retired, and all other stores closed after October 2, for lack of supplies.
